What has the government done to promote the development of LED corn bulbs in China?
Currently, lighting accounts for 14 per cent of China's electricity consumption, accounting for about 15 per cent of global electricity consumption, creating huge greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. Experts said that in response to lighting energy consumption and climate change challenges, China has actively promote the use of efficient high-quality lighting system, greatly promote the LED corn bulbs in the development of commercial lighting and home lighting.
LED corn bulbs industry can achieve rapid development mainly due to the state support, the huge market demand, the industrial chain and the standard system and the strength of the enterprise.
In order to push the LED corn bulbs, the government will need to work in four areas:
First is to accelerate the elimination of high-energy, high-emission products，such as Incandescent lamp.
Second, we will step up efforts to promote efficient LED corn bulbs and implement the project to benefit the people.By means of financial subsidies, we will actively promote energy-saving products, including LED corn bulbs and other efficient products, with 780 million efficient products, which will reduce the amount of carbon dioxide by 24 million tons.
Third, we will accelerate the development of the semiconductor lighting industry.
Fourth, we will continuously improve the standard testing and certification system for LED lighting products, accelerate the regulation of the market and promote healthy development of the industry.
