Why are LED tunnel light emerging in tunnel lighting applications?

Image
In most outdoor lighting applications, LED prove their advantages. For tunneling applications, the point source integrated into the solid-state lighting device is particularly matched. How to solve the harsh lighting requirements by combining LED tunnel light  with lens? The words "dark" and "gray" describe the light of many road tunnels in the world, so when you see a bright tunnel with no shadows or black spots, you might wonder why all the tunnels don't have such good lighting conditions. In fact, in many parts of the world's new tunnel shows that carefully designed LED tunnel lighting can help the driver quickly and easily adjust eyesight, reducing maintenance to a minimum, in improving the quality of the light to save energy at the same time. We'll discuss some projects that demonstrate the value of solid-state lighting (SSL) based on LED, there are two main considerations for whether tunnel lighting should be upgraded with LED. Munic...

Why does advocate using LED tunnel light?

Why does advocate using LED tunnel light ? In the past, the traditional high pressure gas discharge light source (HID), such as high pressure sodium lamp (HPS) and metal halide lamp (MH), is the main force of tunnel lighting. The tunnel lighting scheme requires a high minimum illumination to provide a safe environment for users. Lamps must be able to provide high levels of illumination at a considerable distance from the plane, the typical installation height of highway tunnel is 5-7 meters, providing clearance for high side vehicles. HPS and MH are attractive to tunnel lighting scheme designers, providing low unit cost and high illumination. they usually each lamp power up to 400W, to meet the requirements of illumination. However, the disadvantages of HPS and MH are obvious. These two kinds of lamps consume a lot of energy, usually light quality is low, cannot provide uniform illumination in tunnel, and if occurrence breakdown, need costly ma...

What are the main considerations of LED street light and HID for outdoor lighting ?

Image
The outdoor areas that rely on superior lighting design to improve safety and efficiency are common examples of streets, lanes, parking lots, and pedestrian zones. In outdoor lighting, LED street lights are rapidly becoming a contender for high intensity discharge (HID) lamps. What are the main considerations  of   LED  street light  and HID for outdoor lighting ? Question（Q）: what is the scope for outdoor lighting? Answer(A): industry standard tends to color temperature (CCT) 4000K, color rendering index (CRI) 70. The acceptable range is usually cct3000k-5000k, and CRI is 70 or 80. The color temperature range of LED street light is 3000-6500k, which meets the requirement of color temperature in different zones. Q: what are the different between street lighting and parks or other outdoor lighting in design? A: each application represents a different set of visual tasks that need to be solved by applying design techniqu...
