How to prove 500W LED stadium light can replace 1500W metal halide lamp?
Now many construction sites also stay in the use of 1500W metal halide lamp(MH) as a nighttime construction lighting, instead of using LED stadium light. A part of in order to save money, and part of the reason is that brightness can achieve basic construction lighting requirements, in this regard a lot of people in the use of lamps and lanterns can produce two big mistake.
What are these two mistake?
First is everyone always thought that the greater the power, the higher the brightness, but the actual brightness is depends on power and luminous efficiency. On the basis of same power , luminous efficiency is higher, the total luminous flux is big.
Construction site now use 1500W metal halide lamp (light emitting Angle: 120 °) ,its total luminous flux is: 13500 LM, after secondary light distribution of lamps and lanterns will loss a large part (loss: about 50% of luminous flux), combined with infrared and ultraviolet (uv) content (about 20% -30%) , 1500 w metal halide lamp available luminous flux about 45000LM.
And TEK lighting LED stadium light, using good quality chip, the single side of the light, through the professional lens to disperse the light, basically the light does not wear out. Photoelectric detection report shows that the luminous efficiency of LED stadium light is greater than 130LM/W. The total luminous flux of the 500W LED stadium light is: 48000LM。
So the 500W LED stadium light can replace the 1500W MH.
Another mistake is that, compared with LED stadium light, the price of MH is relatively cheap, based on the requirement of brightness.
Take a lamp for example, each lamp works 12 hours per day, 0.8$ per hour calculation. Compared with the above electricity fee, a LED stadium light can 1.42 months to reach return on investment from the MH, which has not been added to the maintenance cost of MH, and the bulb will be damaged and replaced.
